Alternating 1st Leader (1st violin)
Audition: Solo play Thursday October 29th 2009 11 am
Orchestral play Friday October 30th 2009 at 10 am to 1 pm
Audition commissions:
1st Round
- 1st and 2nd movements with cadenzas from one of the following concertos:
W. A. Mozart - No. 4 in D Major, or No. 5 in A Major,
- Orchestral excerpts
2nd Round:
- 1st movement of one of the following concertos:
Beethoven, Brahms, Nielsen, Tchaikovsky or Sibelius
- Orchestral excerpts
3rd Round – Friday October 30th:
- Orchestra round with full orchestra

The alternating 1st leader has 6 weeks off with possibility to negotiate further reduction from duty – against equivalent reduction of pay.

All auditions take place in Symfonien, Aalborg.
Aalborg Symfoniorkester employs permanently 65 musicians. Including 2 1st leaders (1. violin) and 4 horns. Salaries and conditions of employment in accordance with standard contract for musicians in Danish provincial orchestras. Non EU-citizens please note that employment is dependant on valid work and residence permit.
At Aalborg Symfoniorkester we have no age limit – Which means that everybody can participate irrespective of age. Accompanist is at disposal at the audition. Applicants pay their own travel- and accommodation expenses.
