Round 1:
Mozart:
1st movement with cadenza from one of the following Violin Concertos:
G-major (KV 216), D-major (KV 218) or A-major (KV 219) + excerpts from the orchestra litterature

Round 2:

Brahms, Beethoven, Sibelius, Tjajkovskij or Carl Nielsen + excerpts from the orchestra litterature.

You are kindly asked not to enclose certificates, recommendations, CDs or photos. Just fill out the application form and return it no later than 22nd October 2009 at 12 p.m together with a deposit of 500 DKR (or 70 ?) to be payed back upon your arrival or if you cancel your participation no later than Tuesday 10th. Conditions of employment in accordance with the regulations for DR’s permanent orchestras. Permanent employment after a probation period. If offered permanent employment the applicant is expected to accept the position in accordance with the information of the advertisement. Employment is subject to confirmation of residence and work permit in Denmark.

The Orquestra do Norte (ON) is, since 1992, the reality of the musical culture decentralized project. Winner of the first National Contest for regional orchestras promoted by Portuguese Government, the ON includes high quality musicians besides the participation of famous national and international conductors, soloists and chorus which allow the performing of a various repertoire, by including camera concerts, soloist concerts, ballet music, zarzuela,oratorio, opera (in both concert and scenic versions) and pedagogical concerts. The Orquestra do Norte has 48 musicians and it’s based in Amarante – a charming city near Porto known for its relaxing lifestyle. Due to the nature of its goal, the ON plays over 100 concerts each year all over Portugal, Spain and other European countries.
